My name is Maya McGowan and I am an actor and singer based in Los Angeles, CA. I graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Theatre and am currently studying at the Nancy Banks Studio.
Growing up, I always looked up to women who were fearless and unapologetically themselves. That said, the projects that excite me the most feature characters who embody this quality. Outside of performing, I love boxing, playing piano, making wine, and exploring the world.
Most recently, I was seen in East West Player’s production of “Assassins” as the Understudy for Sara Jane Moore alongside the incomparable Joan Almedilla and as Maya in “The Catastrophe Club” which premiered at the historic La Fonda in Los Angeles.
